In the early Seventies, a rock band called Stonefront was formed and came together in the magnificent setting of GarWood Mansion on the banks of Lake St Claire, Detroit. I am currently editing a feature length documentary of the extraordinary story of the band and community that developed at GarWood. It is a fascinating story of idealism, protest, rock celebrities and drug busts, a film that has a contemporary resonance.

Robin Welch, the saxophonist with the band and producer/director of the project has recovered recordings from Blue Rock Studio sessions and together with the remarkable images from award winning photo-journalist, John Collier, will be released as a theatre, DVD, Vinyl LP, CD and book package.
